How do robot mower firmware updates work?
Most connected robot mowers receive firmware over the air through the manufacturer’s app, via Wi-Fi or a built-in 4G module. Older or non-connected models are updated by a dealer.
Should I install updates during the mowing season?
Yes, but keep the mower docked and charged while it updates. Updates often improve navigation, obstacle avoidance and mapping, and an interrupted update can leave the mower unusable until it is restarted.
