Overview
Entry Kress with network RTK (no own antenna) and EyePilot camera obstacle detection.
On paper it suits small gardens and front lawns — the manufacturer rates it for up to 500 m². The 40% slope limit makes it a better fit for flat or gently sloping lawns. As always, treat the area figure as a best case: buy with a 30–50% buffer if your lawn has slopes, trees or narrow passages.
Positioning uses network RTK: correction data arrives over the internet, so there is no reference station to mount on the house, but a mobile or Wi-Fi connection is needed. Cameras add AI obstacle detection and visual tracking, which helps the mower avoid toys, pets and garden furniture and bridges short gaps in the satellite signal.
It mows with a 20 cm cutting width and a cutting height of 20–60 mm. Rated noise is 58 dB(A), quiet enough for close neighbours. It weighs about 11.3 kg, light enough to carry between separate lawns.
The EyePilot RTKn family also includes the KR283E EyePilot 4×4 RTKn 3000; the versions differ mainly in rated area, battery and price, so pick the smallest one that covers your lawn with a margin.
Price: £899 (UK price). Prices vary by market and retailer — check current offers before buying.
